About LBG Australia & New Zealand

LBG Australia / New Zealand is a membership organisation for businesses who want to measure and benchmark their community contributions in a standardized way.

Established in August 2005 in Australia and New Zealand in 2006, LBG Australia / New Zealand now has 45* member companies representing a diverse range of industry and business sectors. See here for a complete list of current members.

These member companies have the opportunity to work with each other using the LBG model. The model enables them to:

  • Manage and measure the effectiveness of their community investment contributions
  • Compare and benchmark their data across all members
  • Compare and benchmark their data within their sector

LBG (London Benchmarking Group) is the only internationally recognised system for measuring and reporting Corporate Community Investment (CCI). Initiated in the UK, LBG is now used by many leading blue chip companies worldwide to assess and value their community contributions of on a systematic and consistent basis. In 2007 LBG UK programs recorded nearly AUD $3 billion in contributions.

In October 2006, LBG Australia / New Zealand conducted its first annual benchmarking of corporate community contributions, with 14 participating companies.

Facilitated by Haystac Positive Outcomes, and now in it's 4th benchmarking year, member companies have their data validated to ensure they are applying the LBG methodology accurately and consistently across the group.
